Introduction

Kardem is a podiatrist with a strong interest in biomechanics, sports-related injuries, and movement-related pain. She enjoys working with patients to understand how everyday movement and activity levels can affect foot and lower-limb health, and is committed to helping them return to activity safely and confidently.

Professional Background

Kardem holds a Master’s degree in Motion Analysis, which gives her a deep understanding of how movement patterns, loading, and biomechanics contribute to foot and lower-limb conditions. In clinical practice, she commonly manages running-related injuries, plantar heel pain, tendon and overuse injuries, as well as more complex biomechanical concerns.

She works closely with active individuals and athletes, while also caring for patients with general podiatric needs such as skin and nail conditions. This allows her to provide well-rounded care that addresses both movement-related issues and everyday foot concerns.

Approach to Care

Kardem believes in taking time to assess each patient thoroughly and explaining findings in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. Her treatment plans focus on addressing the root cause of pain and supporting long-term function, rather than relying on short-term solutions alone. She places strong emphasis on evidence-based care that is practical, efficient, and tailored to each individual’s lifestyle and activity level.

Patients appreciate her calm, honest approach and her ability to guide them through their recovery with clarity and purpose.

Life Beyond Podiatry

Outside the clinic, Kardem enjoys running and incorporates this passion into her understanding of injury prevention, training load management, footwear selection, and return-to-activity planning. Her personal experience as a runner allows her to relate well to patients who lead active lifestyles, whether they are recreational joggers or endurance athletes.
