Description
Os Trigonum Syndrome is the presence of an extra bone known as “Os Trigonum”. This extra bone is present on one or both feet at birth. With the presence of this extra bone, tissue can get trapped between it and other bones of the foot, causing pain, stiffness and lower plantar flexion around the ankle joints.
How did this happen?
- Ankle sprains
- Constant downward pointing of toes
What should I do?
- Rest the affected foot
- Anti-inflammatory medicine can be used to relieve pain
- Seek help from a podiatrist
